Excel for Audit Professionals: From Basics to Confidence

The Level 1 Excel course provides new audit clerks with the essential foundational skills needed to work efficiently with client data. This introductory course focuses on building confidence with the Excel interface, understanding basic formulas, and developing the ability to clean and organise raw information. Trainees will learn the core techniques used daily in audit work—such as formatting, sorting, filtering, using basic text functions, and preparing data for analytics. By the end of this level, trainees will be able to navigate Excel comfortably, apply fundamental formulas, structure their working papers effectively, and perform basic data checks that support more advanced audit procedures in later levels.
